Good morning, Singers. We are so grateful that Ruby has been found and is with her family. For each and every one of you who held her in your heart as you helped search for her, endless thanks. It took a village and you all stepped up. You WERE that neighbor!
We are rehearsing this Saturday, October 14th, 2:00-3:30 on the 8th floor of the Guthrie. Our rehearsals have been so much fun and we hope you can join us. Remember, it's as simple as showing up. That's all you need to do, no auditions and no fees, just come.
Our next performance is on October 24th at the Capri Theater on 2027 West Broadway. JD has asked that we get there by 6:00, singing will begin at 7:00. If you have never been to a concert at the Capri, you are in for an amazing evening. It will be a full house, and the house will be rocking!
If you have friends and family that will be attending, please have them use this link to get a free ticket tot he event. Check out the Capri website and get details on how to order between 1 and 4 free tickets at https://thecapri.org/event/the-capri-glee-choir-in-concert/ This event is often a "sold out/rush line only" concert -- so order early. People can also search for the event and order tickets at eventbrite.com.
We expect it to be a full house and while the tickets are free, they will need a ticket.

Join us for week 3 of the 2023-24 season of the Mill City Singers. We will be rehearsing on Saturday, October 7th, 2:00-3:30 on the 8th floor of the Guthrie Theater. Remember there are no fees, no auditions, and no attendance requirements. All we ask is that you come when you can, and come knowing you will leave feeling better than you did when you arrived.
As all of us know, it is flu season again, and COVID is one of those viruses. We will follow the guidelines of our host, the Guthrie. Masks are not required. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, please do. If you aren't feeling well, please take a week off to recover and come back to us when you are well.

One of our community members needs your help. Ruby Duffy (she goes by Rue), a Sallie Steele Birdsong Scholarship recipient and a valued member of MCYC is missing. Please go to https://www.facebook.com/BeThatNeighbor and find the poster. Sharing it with everyone you know can only help in the efforts to bring Rue home.
Thank you for all you do to make our community better. We are stronger together.

Good morning, Singers.
The 2022-23 season is finished, and it was a wonderful season. From Iphigenia to Apple Valley with the Capri and MacPhail Music Matters Luncheon in between, a good time was had by all.
It is now time to plan for the 2023-24 season. I can guarantee there are new songs to sing, new experiences to have, new laughs to share, and new friend to make. Hard to argue with any of that.
Please remember that all are welcome. There is never a fee, never an audition, and never any attendance expectations. Come when you can and share you voice and your joy!
Thank you to the Guthrie for hosting us again. We are incredibly grateful for their generosity and partnership. They make everything so much better.
Here is the schedule. Please remember that changes can and will happen, but this represents our best 'guess' right now as to what the schedule will be.
You will get twice weekly emails to keep you up to date. I also post on the Be That Neighbor Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/BeThatNeighbor) and on our website at https://www.bethatneighbor.org/.
I miss you already!!
